We are residential irrigation specialists based in Denver, Colorado. We focus on excellent service and transparency while bringing a level of plant expertise rarely prioritized by your average sprinkler guy. We make sure to solve your problem AND diagnose the root cause, with an emphasis on restoring your landscape to excellent condition.
Who we are
Manzanita Irrigation Co. LLC was founded in 2026 by Charles Erickson (Owner/Operator). After servicing more than 2,000+ irrigation systems of all sizes he thought he could bring top-tier service while creating efficient, creative solutions that support your landscape. In college Charles studied biology and worked as a farmhand on small organic farms in Colorado for two years. There, he got hands on irrigation experience while learning how to grow delicious produce in our high desert climate. He is happy to chat about your spring gardening plans! After graduating he worked as an irrigation technician servicing residential and commercial properties in Montana and Colorado with some of the most trusted contractors in the region. He has experience in native plant horticulture as well as traditional sod/turf landscapes.
Charles grew up in Denver, and attended the University of Denver. He likes to play Bluegrass fiddle and garden in his free time.

FAQ
“Manzanita”? What does that mean?
‘‘Manzanita’ (‘Little Apple’ in Spanish) is a beautiful red-orange barked tree native to the western United States. ‘Manzanita’ is also the title of Charles’ favorite album from Bluegrass guitar legend Tony Rice.
What brands do you service?
We service all brands and ages of irrigation systems. We have a fully stocked truck with the most common parts used, but we primarily use Rain Bird for replacements and installation. There are some manufacturers that we avoid due to performance issues.
When should I activate my sprinkler system?
2026 has been an exceptionally warm and dry winter, whether you opt for Denver Water’s recommendation of turning your system on mid-May, or you want to give your landscape a drink as soon as April 1st we can help. A well-designed automatic irrigation system programmed properly is more water efficient than hand watering.
